The Gajapati Blood Donors Group organised a bike rally here to sensitize the people on blood donation.
The rally started from Paralakhemundi College Chhak and covered the entire town sensitizing the people about the importance of the noble act.
Many NGO’S like Helping Youth Association, Joy of Giving, Gajapati Medical Representative joined in this campaign to reach out to the people with the message “Save a life Give Blood”
Gajapat District Blood Bank In-charge Rama lakshmi attended the awareness campaign as chief guest and flagged off the rally. Gajapati ADMO VSN Raju also attended the campaign and said usually, adults have much misunderstanding and stigma in their minds regarding blood donation; so the purpose of the campaign is to end these mental blockades. Job holders, students and self employed youths in large numbers participated.
