Top opposition leaders attended a Mahasamabesh (mass gathering) organised by the Khordha Janajagaran Mahamenta against the corruptions and monopolistic attitude of the State Government and the local MLA at Tangi here on Wednesday.
PCC president Niranjan Patnaik, former Finance Minister Panchanan Kanungo, former Minister Damodar Rout, CPI leader Ramkrushna Panda, CPM leader Janardan Pati, former Jatni MLA Suresh Kumar Routray, former MLA Dillip Srichandan, Mahamenta president Bipin Jayasingh, convenor Sanjay Patnaik and working president Manguli Jena were present.
Over 10,000 people attended the meeting.
Convenor Jena said health, education, road communication have remained neglected in the Tangi area for long and told about the MLA’s changing attitude. He said there is a need felt in selection of MLA in the upcoming election.
