The three-day Rajdhani Mahotsav, which was being observed to mark the 69th capital foundation day here, concluded on Sunday.
Various cultural programmes, including presentation of classical dances and songs, were held by different organisations on these three days.
On the first day, noted music director Basudve Rath and his group performed song programmes. Singers like Akshaya Kumar, Bidisha Dash, Raj and Pinki enthralled the audience by their performances.
Similarly, Chhau dances were presented under the direct guidance of Guru Gauramohan Mohant and Guru Bhabani Biswal on the second day. On the concluding day, Ganesh Stuti was presented by Guru Gajendra Panda and Odissi dance by Sakshi Gopinath on behalf of the cultural organisation Tridhara. Noted singer Suhas Das and his group too performed on the concluding day. Singers like Shubhalaxmi Dash, Shibaranjani Mahapatra, Dibyajit Sasmal, and Yogendra Kumar’s performance kept the audience unmoved.
The programmes were held under guidance of Rajdhani Pratistha Divas Committee president Pradosh Patnaik, general secretary Sanat Mishra and vice president Pradyumna Kumar Mohanty. Among others, cultural secretary lamxinarayan Agraswal, Bindu Sagar Mohanty, Goura Mohapatra, Prasanna Kumar Das, Pravas Ranjan Das, lalit Mohan Mohanty, Rabindra Behera, Sk Abdul Janab, Satyabrat Rout and Kamal Kumar Sahoo cooperated.
