On the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income by Shyam Sagar Say, Assistant Engineer, Rural Works Sub-Division, Rairakhol in Sambalpur district, Vigilance sleuths conduced searches on his office room and houses at four different places and detected assets worth Rs 1,41,71,158 under his possession.
The detected assets include a double-storied building at Sundargarh of Rs 83,91,232, a plot at Sundargarh Rs 10,00,000, deposits in banks of Rs 13,95,647, deposits in insurance policies of Rs 23,85,759, gold and silver ornaments of Rs 2,92,079 and cash and household articles of Rs 5,44,970.
