Rains predicted across State in 48 hours

The local Meteorological department on Sunday predicted that rains would occur in most parts of north and coastal districts of the State in the next 48 hours under the influence of a cyclonic circulation that has formed over Odisha, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal.

“Rains or thunder squalls accompanied with hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 70-80 kmph may occur at one or two places over Odisha during next 48 hours under the influence of a cyclonic circulation that has formed over Odisha, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Begal,” said Bhubaneswar Met Centre director Dr Sarat Sahu.

Dr Sahu, however, said there would be a marked rise in temperature across the State after two days.
