In view of the predicted heavy rains and consideration of trains and passenger safety issues, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Friday decided to short-terminate some of its trains in Kottavalasa-Koraput-Kirandul Railway Section and Koraput-Rayagada Railway Section. Bhubaneswar-Jagadalpur Hirakhand Express scheduled to leave Bhubaneswar on Friday would be short terminated at Rayagada and would return to Bhubaneswar as 18448 Hirakhand Express from Rayagada to Bhubaneswar on Saturday evening. Durg-Jagadalpur Express was short terminated at Titlagarh and it returned to Durg from Titlagarh on Friday, while Howrah-Jagadalpur Samaleswari Express was short terminated at Rayagada on Friday and would return to Howrah as 18006 Samaleswari Express from Rayagada to Howrah on Saturday. Similarly, Sambalpur-Koraput Passenger scheduled to leave Sambalpur on Friday would run upto Rayagada and would remain cancelled between Rayagada and Koraput.
