Heavy rain here and adjoining areas since Monday night threw life totally out of gear with roads of the towns being submerged in water and the water of rivulet Laxmijore overflowing and entering into houses. The residents of the town were left marooned.
To add further to the people’s woes, there was no electricity in the town since Monday night.
On Tuesday morning, water of Laxmijore overflowed and entered into the houses at Satyanaryan Pada.
The water level was up to the chest level. Such a situation was the first in memory, according to old denizens of the town.
