AICC president Rahul Gandhi would visit Odisha in October and then in November, informed PCC chief Niranjan Patnaik here on Friday.
However, he did not reveal the dates of the Congress president’s visit. Obviously, Rahu Gandhi’s visits are meant to strengthen the party in the State by encouraging the party leaders to work as per the Congress’ broader strategies for the forthcoming 2019 elections.
Gandhi is expected to spell out the electoral strategies to the State leaders. Odisha is a prime target for the Congress during the elections as the party is out of power in the State since 2000.
