Congress president Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Odisha on Wednesday to address two rallies in the western region, one at Bhawanipatna and another at Rourkela.
Chief Minister of neighbouring Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel will join the public meeting at Bhawanipatna.
In run-up to the general elections, this will be Gandhi’s second visit to the State in less than two weeks. He had come to Bhubaneswar on January 25 and addressed a mammoth public meeting.
Now, BJP president Amit Shah would once again visit the State on February 15, informed party State president Basant Kumar Panda on Tuesday.
Shah would visit Sambalpur and address party organisers of four Lok Sabha constituencies, Dhenkanal, Bargarh, Sambalpur and Sundargarh, Panda said. Around 60,000 booth-level workers would join the meeting, he added.
Shah had earlier visited the State twice recently. He on January 29 addressed a meeting of party workers at Salepur. On February 3, he addressed the BJP ST Morcha’s two-day national convention in Puri.
