AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi has convened a meeting with a team of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) on Thursday in New Delhi to chalk out a strategy for revamping the party in the State.
Sources said newly-appointed Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Jayadev Jena, legislature Party leader Bhupinder Singh, Odisha in-charge Jagdish Tytler and secretary in-charge of the State Mirza Irshad Baig would be present at the meeting.
Besides strategy, discussions would be held on appointment of new office-bearers of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) after Jena’s taking over as its president, the sources said.
This is for the first time that the party high command has convened a meeting of the PCC president, ClP leader and other leaders concerned with Odisha affairs.
