Former Minister Raghunath Mohanty’s son Raja Shree Mohanty on Monday suffered another setback as his bail petition moved in the SDJM Court here was rejected again.
Raja Shree is the prime accused in the dowry torture case filed by his wife Barsa Swony Choudhury. He has been lodged in the Baleswar Jail since Monday last week.
Additional Public Prosecutor Arun Behera informed that the bail petition on behalf of Raja Shree was rejected since the court observed that there was now change in circumstances and status of the case. Defence lawyer Gour Chandra Barik, however, informed that a bail petition would be moved again in a higher court.
