Yet another Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader deserted the party ahead of the elections obviously as he was not allotted a ticket to contest polls.
Former MLA of Pallalhara RabPani resigned from the primary membership of the party expressing discontent over the party affairs.
He tendered his resignation to party president Naveen Patnaik at the Naveen Niwas citing the party’s ‘negligence’ to him.
Pani had earlier been designated as the observer of BJD for Jharsuguda and Sambalpur districts.
