After the huge success of Raahgiri in Bhubaneswar, the pilgrimage city of Puri for the first time celebrated the vehicle-free day on Sunday on its VIP Road between 6 am and 9 am.
The stretch between Netaji Subhas Bose Square and the PKDA office were chosen as the venue for the event. Thousands of enthusiastic denizens and tourists thronged the venue and enjoyed the various activities on the otherwise busy road.
The Puri Municipality plans to make Raahgiri day a weekly affair, the civic body authorities.
