In view of a ban imposed by the Odisha Government from October 2 on Single Use Plastic (SUP) , the Central GST , Rourkela Commissionerate, organised a street play on Thursday near the Rourkela railway station to sensitize general public about the menace of plastic in day-to-day life.
The play was performed by the artists of the Youth Movement Federation of India, Rourkela unit, under supervision of Rourkela CGST headquarters.
The general public enjoyed the play and appreciated the efforts of the CGST officials to make the State and Rourkela city free from plastic.
The programme was coordinated by Superintendent Saroj Kant Sarangiand Tax Assistant Sabyasachi Sahoo under the guidance of Commissioner Debashish Sahu and Joint Commissioner Dasari Balaiah, among others.
