Questions are being raised here as regards the identity of a Zila Parishad candidate, who is trying his luck from Zone-15 under Gopabandhu Nagar block of Mayurbhanj district. He is Sumanta Nayak, fighting on a BJD ticket.
Interestingly, his name figures in the voters’ lists of both Mayurbhanj and Bhubaneswar. Here, he is shown to be living in Chilima, PS Chilima (GB Nagar block), he being the son of Baishnab Nayak, his serial no. being 941 and House no. 228.
Again, Sumanta Nayak, son of Baishnab Nayak, is also a voter of Bhubaneswar, his residence there being House no. 134, Sahid Nagar and serial no. being 492.
This now makes local people wonder about the truth behind the whole story. Whether Sumanta is a resident of Bhubaneswar or of Mayurbhanj, nobody, at the moment, is in a position to say with a fair degree of certainty.
