The Model Career Centre, VRCH, Bhubaneswar under Union Ministry of labour and Employment, the DGE, the District Skill Development Authority (DSDA) Khordha and the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD), Government of Odisha, jointly organised a job fair for persons with disabilities (PWDs) on March 2 here.
As many as 41 reputed private companies of 13 different industry sectors such as Banking Finance Service Insurance (BFSI), automobiles, BPO/IT/ITes, electrical and civil engineering, education, FMCD, food service, healthcare, hospitality, security, retail, sales and marketing participated with more than 3,000 vacancies. PWDs with educational qualification of jobseekers from minimum of 8th pass to Post Graduation including Technical/Non Technical professionals were offered salary ranging from Rs 5,500 per month to Rs 70,000. Companies gave preference to variant jobseekers in age groups of 18-35 years and in few cases up to 40 years.
