Pvt hospital to provide free services

The private hospitals in the State would have to provide free healthcare services under the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) soon, Health & Family Welfare Minister Naba Kishore Das told reporters here on Monday.

“The private hospitals have been directed to implement the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana. Another review meeting in this regard will be held very soon,” Das said.

The hospitals have to ensure that all the beneficiaries under the BSKY get healthcare services free, the Minister added.

It may be mentioned that the BSKY is a State Government scheme which is meant to provide universal health coverage, with special emphasis on the health protection of economically-vulnerable families, free of cost.
