Demanding a CBI probe into the allegations against the Headmaster of a Primary school in Kandhamal district, activists under the banner of the civil society body Purush Commission staged a demonstration at lower PMG on Wednesday.
A few days back, a female staff of the Birakumpa Primary School at Khajuripada block in the district had got Headmaster Bhramarbar Parida trapped by making a false allegation of misconduct against him.
There seem to be many things hidden behind the matter, said Purush Commission convenor Byomkesh Tripathy. Harassed by the allegations, Parida had consumed poison and is undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College Hospital, Cuttack, he added.
The body demanded that such a sensitive matter be brought under the purview of CBI investigation.
Among others, activists Pitabas Biswal, Manoranjan Panda and Renubala Routray joined the protest.
