To attract tourists and promote art and craft and cuisines, the district administration on Tuesday announced to organise a 10-day trade fair on the sea beach here from March 17. A Pallishree Mela, to be held on the occasion, would have several outlets.
District Collector Arabind Agarwal chaired a meeting in this regard here. Municipality Executive Officer Sanjeeb Mishra and DRDA PD Udhab Charan Majhi were present.
Potential industrial houses would be approached to sponsor and participate in this festival. The trade fair would function every day from 3 pm to 10pm. Besides, cultural programmes and beach and water sports would be organised to entertain visitors.
