For the first time, the Jaganath Temple here has been decorated with colourful flowers ahead of the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath and His siblings on Thursday.
The voluntary job of such beautification of the temple with fresh flowers has been undertaken by a devotee of New Delhi, KK Sharma, who spent about Rs 20 lakh for it.
Apart from the Jagannath Temple, Sharma has also undertaken similar beautification of the Gundicha Temple, where the Lords will stay during the nine-day-long Car Festival.
The Gundicha Temple will look beautiful with the fresh flowers every day during the festival.
For this job, Sharma has engaged about 200 flower decorators from Delhi who will also florally decorate the Shreemandir on the days of Suna Besha and Niladri Bije.
