Sankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati has undergone a transplant surgery in his knee at a hospital in Gujarat and his health condition is stable, a Press release from the Puri Gobardhan Mutt said on Sunday.
The mutt informed that the Sankaracharya, who was knee problems for quite a period, was admitted in a hospital in Baroda and underwent transplant surgery by Dr Bharat Modi on Sunday. His health is now normal, the Mutt further informed.
