Pleased over a strong hammer on the Article 370, according special status to Jammu and Kashmir in the Constitution, the Sankaracharya of Puri Swami Nischalananda Sarawati said on Monday that a long awaited demanded was fulfilled.
Lauding the Centre for its strong move against the Article 370 for the valley State, Saraswati said that the first Government after country’s independence had hatched a conspiracy against the Hindus by allowing a division of the country on a Hindu-Muslim line.
Pointing an indirect finger at first PM Jawaharlal Nehru, the Hindu seer told that despite a strong protest given from Sardar Patel to a special status to J and K, Nehru went ahead by becoming a toy in the hands of the British rulers. He said that the Britishers first separated Afghanistan from India; then Burma and Sri Lanka by dividing the country on Hindu-Muslim line. The Sankaracharya added that some internal forces within India were hand-in-glove with the English rulers.
Known to be a strong critic of Nehru for providing special status to J and K that separates the State from the Indian territory, the seer also expressed his feelings on disputed religious places in Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi.
