Amid a controversy over Sri Bageswardham Sarakar alias Dhirendra Sastri, Puri Sankarcharya Nischalananda Saraswati has come out in the former’s support.
Sankarachrya said Sastri is doing pretty well and protecting the Hindus from their conversion to Christianity and Islam.
The statement came in a spiritual session at Varanasi when Saraswati was replying to a question of a devotee on the ensuing worldwide debate over Bageswar Dham Sarkar. The devotee had sought opinions of Saraswati if Sastri’s foretelling of problems of any person without knowing his/her identity is healing diseases.
The devotee also wanted to know if the deed of Sastri is a blind belief. Without answering the specific question, Saraswati, however, said that Sastri has already met him in Brundavan and talked with him. “I am extremely pleased with works Sastri is doing for protection of Hindus from religious conversion,” said Saraswati.
Notably, the top Hindu seer is presently on a tour to other States after accomplishing the Samudra Arati in Puri a few days ago. He is scheduled to be back in Odisha on Sunday for religious programmes.
