The Vigilance police on Thursday caught Puri district Sub-Divisional Veterinary office (SDVO) Senior Clerk Purusottam Behera red-handed for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs 6,000.
Behera was caught taking bribe from complainant Dinabandhu Swain of Ambadiha village in Khordha district in order to process the file for opening of poultry firm in the name of Swain’s maternal aunt which had been applied for online earlier.
His residential house at Pipili was searched. Later he was arrested and forwarded to court
