Four miscreants were arrested by police on Sunday for their alleged involvement in a gun attack on two bikers on Thursday killing one on the spot near Khadipada village under the Sadar police station in Puri. While Sankar Pradhan of Kanthapur died on the spot, Somanath Raut of Khadipada village is undergoing treatment at Cuttack hospital.
Additional SP Banabihari Sahoo presented the four miscreants before the media persons, who also presented one country-made pistol, three bikes and four mobile phones possesed by them. However, the main culprit in the case is still absconding and the police are yet to find the two pistols used in the murder. The police however, is expecting to extract information from the arrested people in the case. The four arrested were forwarded to court and later sent to jail after their bail plea was rejected by the Magistrate.
