On the allegation of possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, simultaneous house searches were conducted on Wednesday on the properties of Industry Promotion Officer (IPO), Office of General Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC), Puri, Sitaram Sahoo. Vigilance sleuths raided at least five places in Puri, Khordha and Nayagarh districts by forming eight teams on day. The assets unearthed include two double storeyed buildings including one at Kalinga Vihar, Bhubaneswar and another at Nayagarh town, one two-room shop at Kantilo, Nayagarh, five plots of land in Khordha and Nayagarh district, one four wheeler, four two wheelers, bank deposits over Rs 34.76 lakh, insurance deposits over Rs 4.42 lakh and other movable and immovable properties, all totalling to over Rs 1.51 crore. Further searches were continuing.
