As many as four officials of the Puri District Social Welfare Office (DSWO) became accused of misappropriation of Government funds after the SDJM directed the Baselisahi police to register a case under various sections of the IPC against them recently.
The officials assigned work in the ICDS under the Puri Municipality are CDPO Padmalaya Prusti, Statistical Assistant Krushna Chandra Jena,Supervisor Anjali Mallick and Anganwadi Worker Bisnhupriya Mohapatra.
Sources said the court issued the direction on September 1 on the petion of one Sunil Kumar Mishra, who apprised that the police station registered his complaint as a station diary and not an FIR.
