Of late, several State Governors in general have become controversial in discharge of their duties. Such a high and prestigious post has been reduced to mockery. Neither they are able to take any good or proper decisions nor behaving as true Governors. Millions of rupees are spent for their protocol, security and bungalow for nothing. Ultimately, it’s the Supreme Court which has the final word! Some say the posts like Vice-President and Governor should be abolished and replaced by a bench of High Court magistrate to take important decisions. The huge British legacy system of Governor’s House may be converted to star hotels or social homes.
