A special puja was performed at the Jagannath Temple here ahead of Bhoomi Pujan for construction of a grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Wednesday.
“We prayed to Lord Jagannath for completion of the much-awaited Ram Temple work without any hindrance,” Chhatisha Nijog Nayak Pattajoshi Janardan Mahapatra said in a release.
Lord Jagannath has sent His blessing through Ajnamala for construction of a Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The special puja conducted at the shrine would also protect all from the deadly coronavirus, the release stated.
Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the Bhoomi Pujan at around 12.30 amid hymns chanted by saints.
