Publish whitepaper, demands Congress

Published on:

The Congress on Saturday lashed out at  the State Government saying that  besides the  worsening law and order situation, child missing cases have increased alarmingly in the State.

The party demanded that the Government publish a whitepaper on this.

While the Nayagarh Pari incident has triggered a furor, the slow and lethargic investigation into the Jajpur district Pihu missing case by the Binjharpur police and the Jajpur SP have raised suspicion among the local people, said party spokespersons Manoj Mahapatra and Padmakar Guru.

The party demanded a high-level probe into the incident. From September 2016 till now 7,000 children have gone missing in the State, according to the official figures.

Out of this 5050 are minors.

This proves that there are various child trafficking rackets active in the State.

The party demanded Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s resignation following the Orissa High Court reprimanding the Government,.
