Sundargarh Sadar BJP MLA Kusum Tete has written to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik urging him to provide facilities at the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research  VIMSAR, Burla and the Ispat General Hospital, Rourkela for conducting Covid-19 tests.

“To prevent the coronavirus in Sundargarh, it is of paramount importance to conduct tests and equip hospitals for the treatment in the district. Both symptomatic and asymptomatic cases are on the rise in Odisha and as well as in Sundargarh. The two cases in Sundargarh district, being asymptomatic COVID-19, is a matter of concern," wrote Tete.

She too demanded that facilities for treatment and testing be created hospitals in western Odisha. “It is very painful that till now the VIMSAR in Burla has not been provided with facilities for conducting COVID-19 tests,” wrote she.

“I request you to take early steps for providing adequate facilities at the VIMSAR  and the IGH for conducting COVID tests and treatment," urged Tete.

She has also sent copy of the letter to the Health Secretary and the Sundargarh Collector.
