A complaint lodged at the Dabugram police station in Nabarangpur district on Tuesday stated that a youth posted derogatory remarks against the Hindus in the Facebook.
According to reports, one Rajesh Jani posted some distasteful words against Hindu religion in Facebook which brew resentment among some Hindu organisations. later, they staged a demonstration in front of the police station demanding immediate arrest of the youth.
The agitating members also blocked the Umarkote-Nabarangpur state highway for hours together. However, they withdrew the stir after local administration and police assured them of appropriate steps. A case under section 153(A) of IPC and section66(A) of IT has been registered against the accused and investigation is on, said the IIC of the Dabugam police station.
