Protest held in D'nal over Brahma fiasco

Over the large-scale irregularities during the Brahma Parivartan rituals of lord Jagannath in Puri, followers of various Hindu and civil society organisations, including the VHP and the RSS along with BJP workers staged a protest meeting in front of the district Collectorate recently.

Noted social activist Prasant Mishra said even after doing all the misdeeds, the unruly Daitapatis went to the Narendra Pokhari to take birth on June 16 evening as if they have not committed anything wrong. Mishra demanded amendment of the Temple Act with immediate effect. District BJP president Naresh Chandra Mohapatra said the Daitapatis are giving mixed opinions at various times.
