The Odisha Voluntary Blood Donors’ and Motivators’ Association on Wednesday demanded that the alleged decision to sell plasma to private companies be probed by the State Crime Branch soon.The Red Cross Society is selling plasma at the Jan Aushadhi stores, at a price between Rs1,200 and Rs1,400 to patients through private companies, association founder president Dillip Dashsharma said and demanded that the plasma be supplied to poor patients free of cost.
