A six-member in-house committee headed by Professor BN Mohanty is likely to begin its probe from Tuesday into the alleged sexual harassment complaint brought against a Professor of the SCB Medical College.
At least four women PG students of the college have brought it to the notice of the authorities that they were sexually harassed by the concerned Professor. The complainants maintain that they are victims of the Professor’s ill-treatment and intimidation for over two months.
While it was learnt that the State Women Commission has taken cognisance of the allegation, sources said the irate students of the college are now contemplating to lodge a police complaint.
Sources said a group of students along with the complainants held a discussion with the Twin City Commissioner of police Dr RP Sharma on Monday about the unsavoury incident.
