A dead body of an under-trial prisoner was found hanging in the Jhardapa Special Jail here on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Jitendra Biswal.
The body was spotted by other prisoners early in morning, following which they informed the jail authorities who recovered it.
Police have started investigation into the incidence sending the body to the Capital Hospital here for postmortem.
Biswal had been lodged in the jail in connection with a murder case. Notably, he had recently attacked his advocate in a court premises here.
