The Utkal Sammilani has suggested to the BSNl to publish its advertisements in Odia language in Odia newspapers instead of in Hindi.
Giving a remark on the BSNl’s advertisement printed in Hindi, the Sammilani’s Mancheswar Industrial Branch president Dillip Dashsharma contended that the Central telecom would be gainer if it gets its advertisements printed in Odia as Odisha has been formed on the basis of language and all its residents use Odia in day-to-day life. He argued that Odia and Hindi bear the equal status as per the rules.
He too strongly supported MP Tatagatha Satapathy for opposing a Hindi letter written to him by a Union Minister. Dashsharma demanded that all the advertisements and letters should be printed in Odia.
