President Pranab Mukherjee would inaugurate a three-day-long Prabasi Odia Sammilani-2017 being organised by the Odisha Forum in the national capital from January 6.
The event would also be attended by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and several other eminent persons, informed forum president Gokul Patnaik on Monday.
While the organisers have planned various programmes during the event, Patnaik said several non-resident Odias (NROs) would be felicitated by President Mukherjee.
The forum has planned to hold a photo exhibition titled ‘Resurgent Odisha’, he added. More than 30 stalls would showcase Odisha’s achievements in the fields of art, culture, painting, handicrafts and books published in Odia, stated Patnaik.
A seminar titled ‘Udayagami Odisha’, meaning emerging Odisha, would be held in which leaders of five political parties from Odisha would spell out their party’s current and future agendas for the State, Patnaik said.
