Sunil Roy, the newly-appointed ADG, Human Rights Protection Cell and Binayananda Jha, ADG (law and Order) have been awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Services (PPMDS) on the occasion of Independence day-2013.
Besides, while 17 other police personnel have been awarded Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG), 11 will receive Police Medal for Meritorious Services (PMMS).
Similarly, Runibala Devi, Jailor, Naribandi Niketan in Sambalpur, has been chosen for President’s Correctional Service Medal for distinguished services. Brahmapur Circle Jail Warder Saroj Kumar lenka and Sulav Charan Jena, district probation officer, Cuttack will receive correctional service medal for meritorious service.
