Indian Red Cross Society lifetime member Dillip Dashsharma attended the annual meet of the Indian Red Cross Society at the Rashtraati Bhaban recently. President Pranab Mukherjee gave four seals to the Odisha Red Cross Society branch in the field of blood donation and blood collection.
A meeting with Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda was also held at the DRDO Bhavan. It was discussed in the meet that the Odisha branch of the Red Cross Society is not organising its annual meet from last eight years, informed Dashsharma. The Indian Red Cross Society should take steps in this regard, he added.
Minister Nadda instructed the State unit president to apprise the issue to the State Governor.
State Red Cross secretary Dr Chakradhar Panda, joint-secretary Kalpana Das and Umakant Nag were also present in the meet.
