Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Sanjay Dasburma is facing more trouble from inside the BJD rather than the opposition parties with senior ruling party leaders one after another targeting him directly or indirectly for his alleged involvement in the chit fund scam.
After leaders like Bhartruhari Mahtab and Damodar Rout, BJD MP Nagendra Pradhan on Thursday said lord Ram had banished Devi Sita even knowing that she was Sati (Pure) in an apparent to reference to Chief Minister and party supremo Naveen Patnaik’s silence over the Dasburma issue.
Pradhan, however, maintained, “The Chief Minister is examining the situation thoroughly. Appropriate decision will be taken at right time.”
Earlier, Mahtab had termed the opposition parties’ demand for resignation of Dasburma on moral ground as a ‘good suggestion’, while senior Minister Damodar Rout had asked political leaders to abide by morality and dignity in their public life.
