On the second of her Odisha stay, President DroupadiMurmu on Friday visited the Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR) in Mayurbhanj, her home district.
The President, defying all protocols, had spent Thursday night at her own home in Mahuldiha near Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj. She even took food prepared by family members.
According to Dasmant Soren, the President’s maternal uncle, although most of the family members and relatives went to bed after 10:30 pm, she spent some more hours with her daughter Itishree and a few others.
Early on Friday morning, she went to the local Purneswaray temple and offered puja.
“It was a great moment for all of us to spend time with my sister. Yesterday, we prepared some Odia cuisine for her lunch. However, she could not relish them because of her pressing engagement. In the evening, she enjoyed the food,” said TaranisenTudu, the President’s brother.
