President Pranab Mukherjee would be on a two-day visit to Odisha beginning on November 29, sources said on Tuesday.
He would attend the golden jubilee celebrations of the Rama Devi Women’s Autonomous College and the Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya in Bhubaneswar. Besides, he would also inaugurate the new campus of the Utkal University of Culture.
Although these three events are scheduled to be held on the same day, Mukherjee may attend one of the events on November 29 and the other two the next day.
The President’s visit has been finalised following a request by State Tourism and Culture Secretary Dr Arabinda Padhee. This would be his third visit to the State in the last two years. Earlier, he had visited the State to attend the convocations of the Utkal University and the IIT, Bhubaneswar.
