A 22- year- old girl has alleged to have been duped in love by a youth who works as an engineer with ARSS construction firm in Paralakhemundi.
She said she was robbed of all her money and memory card by the accused as she came to Paralakhemundi to ask him to marry her as she is now pregnant. She said her life was under threat.
The girl is a B Tech student and belongs to Majhikhanda Panchayat in Nayagada district. She alleged that Abhijit Nayak (24) of Mohigada village under Nursingpur panchayat in Cuttack district had seduced her through false promises while she was a college student in Bhubaneswar in 2011. The love between them started after a wrong number call.
“Abhijit proposed me to marry five years back and kept physical relationship on that plea. He also got my pregnancy terminated thrice before,” the girl charged, adding that she has video and audio recording of her affairs to prove her claims.
“I have filed three written complaints regarding the same matter with the Paralakhemundi police. But every time, Abhijit went for a truce by reiterating to marry me,” she said.
Meanwhile, since the girl is alone and has been robbed of, she was made to stay in SWADHAR Home near Patikata in Paralakhemundi. The police also took her to the district headquarters hospital for a test and lodged a case against Abhijit under Sections 417,323 and 506.
