Pravat walks out of jail on bail

Suspended BJD leader and Banki MlA Pravat Tripathy on Wednesday walked out of the Jharpada jail after more than four months on conditional bail. Around 2,000 supporters coming from MlA’s constituency received Tripathy. They took their MlA to Banki in a huge procession in the evening.

Tripathy was arrested by the CBI on October 31 last year in connection with his involvement in the Artha Tatwa (AT) case. He had been granted conditional bail by the Odisha High Court on Tuesday after repeated rejection of bail pleas.“It would not be proper on my part to say anything on the case against me since the matter in sub judice. But I would certainly say that very soon, it will be ‘doodh ka doodh, paani ka paani’(Everything will become clear),” he told mediapersons.
