Government Chief Whip in the State Assembly Pravat Tripathy is now considered to be a suspect as far as the relations of several ruling BJD MlAs and Ministers with arrested Artha Tatwa (chit fund firm) CMD Pradip Sethi are concerned.
Former Congress MlA of Banki Debasish Patnaik on Saturday alleged that the voice of one Ashish in the purported CD conversation with Pradip Sethi points fingers at Tripathy, present BJD MlA of Banki because Ashish, according to Patnaik, is close to Tripathy. And Patnaik said that Ashish requesting Sethi to “do something for Banki Mahotsav” further strengthens the suspicion over Tripathy since
the Banki Mahotsav and Tripathy are inseparable. On the other hand, Tripathy pooh-poohed Patnaik’s statement saying he had nothing to do with Sethi. Tripathy asserted that he is ready to face a CBI probe in this regard.
