Finance Minister Prasanna Acharya on Thursday submitted his second reply to the State Election Commission (SEC) over his controversial speech on November 17 at a campaign meeting for urban local body (UlB) polls in Bargarh.
The contents of the reply are not yet known.
Acharya had in his speech told voters that if they voted for the Congress he being the Finance Minister would not release funds for development works in the area.
The SEC had first served a notice to Acharya to explain his alleged violation of the model code of conduct, to which the Minister had replied that he had not committed any such offence.
later the SEC sent him a CD copy of the recording of his speech. He submitted his reply to the SEC after going through the contents of
the CD.
