President Pranab Mukherjee is likely to pay a two-day visit to Odisha from September 6, official sources said.
Mukerjee would have darshan of Shree Jagannath here on September 7 morning before attending the convocation of the IIT-Bhubaneswar. Soon after reaching Bhubaneswar on September 6 in the evening, he would leave for Puri and spend the night at the Puri Raj Bhawan.
The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) held a preparatory meeting to ensure the President's hassle-free visit. "We have not yet received his final itinerary, but we have started arrangements," said SJTA Chief Administrator Aravind Padhee.Mukherjee had darshan of the deities at the Puri shrine on April 25 this year when he came to attend the convocation of the Utkal University.
