The BJD on Monday severely criticised Petroleum and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stating that he is making statements on various State issues regarding which he has no knowledge and has always remained silent on performance of his two Ministries.
“The Union Minister is making statements on issues regarding which he has no knowledge. He is making such statements for cheap politics only. What has worried people is he is silent on the performance of the two Ministries he holds,” alleged BJD State secretary Bijay Nayak.
He said though prices of petrol, diesel and lPG have increased the highest number of times during Pradhan’s period, yet he has remained silent only.
“When in opposition, the BJP had objected to the UPA Government’s decision of decontrolling fuel prices by taking to the streets time and again. Now during NDA Government, prices of petrol and diesel have risen by 125 per cent and 500 per cent, respectively. The Minister should clarify in this regard,” demanded Nayak.
He said only 20 per cent of subsidised-lPG holder women are refilling cylinders and cooking on gas has remained a dream for the rest 80 per cent women. He too wanted that Pradhan makes a statement on the BJP’s pre-poll promise of providing jobs to 2 crore youths per annum.
