Union HRD Minister for Education, Skills Development and Youth Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan met young Hinjili Arun Kumar Sahu during his recent visit to Hinjili.
Pradhan expressed his desire to meet Arun personally to congratulate him for his marvelous artistic acumen. Arun made a name for himself in the local area through his various fine carvings.
Pradhan was reportedly overwhelmed by the various wooden sculptures made by Arun and lauded him.
Arun presented the Minister a wooden statue of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. He has made Hanuman Chalisha, written by Goswami Tulsi Das, in the form of a book on wood which too brought him recognition. He is keen to present the book as gift to the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister. Among others, BJP State vice-president Anita Subhadarshini Patnaik, State executive member Shishir Kumar Mishra, Ghumsar district vice-president Madhav Gaud, District EC member Akash Patnaik, District Youth front president Pramod Kumar Panda, vice-president Rakesh Kumar Rath were present.
Kumar Panigrahi graced the event as chief guest. Pradhan during his meeting reportedly assured the artist that, he would arrange a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to enable him to present his art soon.
